Aka 'Docty' Dennis

'Docty' is not my alter ego, it's just my alternate name to many Asians.. Let me explain.

Years ago I went to the Philippines to marry a wonderful, beautiful young woman. It's a popular term of affection that women use toward men, usually lovers. It seemed to me that the term was a combination of 'doctor' and 'daddy', but my fiancee didn't know its origin.

Through the years, Asian women friends of mine have told me they'd heard the term themselves, and sometimes called men they liked 'Docty'. I got the impression it was some kind of tease.

Recently while keeping up with Eternalist international correspondence one woman in Jakarta used the term. We talked about it and it occurred to me that leaders within the temple or church might take the term 'Docty' as a designation of spiritual guide through Eternalism. Instead of the terms other religions used for male authority, Father, Reverend, Rabbi, etc, one can add their names behind the title, such as Docty Thomas, Docty Kato, Docty Vladimir, and so on.

Of course we needed a female counterpart, certainly an equal, within the Eternalist staff's structure. We bandied about several possibilities, and decided on DARAH. A Darah is of similar authotity as a Mother Superior within Catholicism. It can be interpretted as a combing of words, daughter, daring, and rare, and whatever others you might see within it.

Let me know some of your thoughts and ideas about the titles that may be used by Eternalists.
